How to send and schedule messages
You can send emails and text messages directly from your DNNR dashboard, choosing exactly who receives them.
Step 1: Create your message
Go to Communication → Send Message.
Start by selecting the dinner you're messaging about under Quick pick a dinner. This also helps narrow down the locations and guests you can choose from.

Step 2: Choose your recipients
Under Who to send to, select the audience you'd like to reach.
You can target:
- Booked guests: People who already have a reservation.
- Waitlist: People waiting for a spot at an upcoming dinner.
- Past attendees: Guests who have attended previous dinners.
- Email list: Members of your community's email list.
- Ambassadors: Members of your ambassador program.
- Abandoned questionnaire: People who started the signup process but didn't finish.
You can also select specific dinner dates, locations, or combine different audiences.
Use Leave out to exclude people who are already booked for a particular dinner or any upcoming dinner, so you don't send them an unnecessary invitation.
The Who gets this panel on the right updates as you make your selections, showing exactly how many people will receive your message.

Step 3: Write your message
Choose your message format:
- Text message: Send a short SMS to your selected audience. Keep it under 320 characters.
- Email: Send a longer message to your community.
- New event invite: Invite members to an upcoming dinner.
Write your message, then click Preview to see how it will look.
Step 4: Review, test, or schedule
Before sending, you have a few options:
- Review before sending: Double-check your message and recipients before delivery.
- Test text: Send yourself a test to see how the SMS looks.
- Schedule: Choose when you'd like your message to go out.
- Send me a copy: Receive a copy of the message yourself.
Once everything looks good, send or schedule your message!

Tip: You can send one custom message blast per week. We recommend using them for important announcements, reminders, and encouraging your community to book their next dinner.
